Intro
The Air Cadets are very strong in the area of training. Yound people have a range of opportunities to learn skills for life and some of these can lead to nationally recognised qualifications.
Cadets have the opportunity to learn about flying. These opportunities range from experience and opportunity flights in a range of RAF aircraft through to training on how to fly gliders or fixed wing aircraft. You can learn more about these opportunities by contacting the Squadron.
Cadets can learn about weapons in a safe controlled environment and some develop their skills to a high degree. There are lots of opportunities for cadets to participate in a wide range of outdoor activities. These can be undertaken as part of the Duke of Edinburgh bronze, silver and gold award.
Adult volunteers play a vital role in all aspects of cadet life, whether organising activities, encouraging and educating cadets or helping the squadron to run smoothly. We welcome all responsible adults, male or female, from all social backgrounds, cultures and religions. You do not need to have any prior military experience.
