Intro
The aim of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
The Method of achieving the Aim of the Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law, and guided by adult leadership.
Boys and Girls welcome.
Sections are;
- Beavers aged 6 -8
- Cubs aged 8 - 10
- Scouts aged 10 - 14
- Explorers aged 14 - 18
- Network aged 18 - 25
We strive to be a fully inclusive organisation providing Scouting for boys and girls aged 6 - 25.
General note Group are currently unable to meet at their headquarters on Hill Street due to storm damage to the building, we are raising funds to build a new fit for purpose building to accomodate all persons regardless of disability etc. We are always open to any adults wishing to volunteer to help to become a leader/assistant leader or helper. All adults involved with the group are fully CRB cleared before having any access to the young people that we have as members.
