Park Cake Bakery

Management at Park Cake have toasted the reopening of the Learning Centre at the Ashton Road bakery in Oldham. Representatives from Tameside College; Key Account Manager Jacqui Anderson and Skills for Life tutor Carol Deary attended the event along with Deputy Manager Kate Hall and Ronnie Draper, National President of the British Food and Allied Workers’ Union.

The event which was co-ordinated by Training Manager Veronica Baldwin also celebrated the achievement of the staff who had recently gained their NVQ with Tameside College, and saw the learners presented with their certificates.

Tameside College have delivered Skills for Life qualifications (literacy and numeracy) at the Bakery alongside short courses in basic food hygiene. Staff have also studied for a Food & Drink Manufacturing NVQ, Team Leading and Warehouse & Storage (Level 2 & 3).

Tameside College and Park Cake Bakeries are proud to be working in partnership and will continue to collaborate professions in the future.
