Well, the new season kicks off on Saturday with a pre-season friendly match against Congleton Town.

The big news this season is that Jim Harvey is assembling a full time squad to take on the Conference North. This is a new step for Celtic with a lot of promise. Jim has been looking at over thirty players over the past few weeks at training, and will be further running the rule over them during the pre-season matches. Jody Banim, Connor Jennings, Greg Wilkinson, Craig Hobson and Steve Woods have also signed up for the coming campaign.

The actual start to the campaign is Saturday 14 August when we host Redditch United. This is followed by two away trips, first to Blyth on a Tuesday 17 August, then to Hinckley on Saturday 21 we are away at Hinckley, before returning to Bower Fold on Tuesday 24 August when we face Vauxhall Motors.

In other news, there will be a new home shirt available this season.
