Free Places at the Just 4 Keepers Goalkeeping School

Date published: 06 November 2009

A goalkeeping organisation that strives to help young goalkeepers is offering a free goalkeeping session to young keepers who would like to develop their skills.

Aspiring shot stoppers are being invited to Just 4 Keepers' weekly sessions held in Droylsden, Tameside.

This is a chance for keepers age 8 – 18 years of age to improve their technique by taking part in a Specialist Goalkeeper Training programme.

A spokesperson said: "Whether goalkeepers come to J4K for fun and to learn or they are more serious about their goalkeeping there is something for everyone."

Just 4 Keepers have developed many goalkeepers that have gone on to sign for professional football clubs academies and schools of excellence at Manchester City, Manchester United, Bolton Wanderers, Blackburn Rovers, Burnley, Blackpool, Stockport County, Bury, Rochdale and Macclesfield Town.

Other goalkeepers have gone on to play semi-professional football, attend further education sports courses and join college sports academies.

The Goalkeeping sessions are coached by Ron Healey and Scott Healey. Ron played for Manchester City between 1969 and 1974 and also played for Cardiff City and the Republic of Ireland. His son Scott started his career at York City and played semi-professional football for Droylsden, Bangor City and Leek Town.

For more information or to book a free session contact Scott on 0161 301 1516, 07958 284465, scotthealey06@aol.com
