The family of a motorcyclist killed in a road traffic collision in Audenshaw have today, Wednesday 1 September 2010, paid tribute to him.
Garry David Lister, aged 36, of Platt Walk, Denton, died during the collision on Saturday 28 August 2010.
He was riding his Yamaha 600 bike along Corporation Road at around 8.50pm when it was in collision with a Vauxhall Zafira at the junction with Hopkinson Avenue.
Garry suffered head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Zafira, a 61-year-old woman from Audenshaw, was uninjured.
Garry's wife Tracey said: "Garry was a devoted father of four, Declan, Courtney, Kayleigh and Amy. Garry loved spending time with his children, family and friends.
"From a young age Garry was always interested in cars and motorbikes, which often got him into trouble.
"Garry was always there when we needed him. He was a loveable rogue. He was a very loving husband and will be sadly missed".
Traffic officers are now appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to call the road policing unit on 0161 856 4873.
