National pass rate smashed again

Hyde Clarendon students achieved an amazing 99.5% pass rate at A level, beating the national average of 97.6% and exceeding last years outstanding pass rates of 99%.

Over two thirds of A Level learners achieved higher grades.

In a number of subjects every single student achieved a high grade.

Twenty subjects have 100% A Level pass rate:Accounting, Art, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, English Literature, English Language, English Combined, Film Studies, Geography, Graphics, History, Applied IT, Law, Media Studies, Physics, Drama, Government and Politics, Physics, Psychology and Sociology.

The quality of our subjects are externally judged and benchmarked against other high achieving colleges across the country. We have achieved the highest grades excellent /outstanding year on year and we anticipate that this will continue in 2009/10.

Hyde Clarendon is in the top 20% in the Northwest for A Level Performance.

In the College’s Media department 90% of students achieved grades A – C, an outstanding accomplishment and matching the record achievement of 2009.

Musical Theatre comes to Hyde Clarendon. The college is now able to offer this exciting new programme for learners interested in studying a broad range of performing arts including singing, acting and jazz dance, voice and physical theatre.
