Media Mania fun day – celebrating play days gone-by

Find out what entertained the kids before computer games at Portland Basin’s annual bank holiday fun day.
The Ashton museum will be celebrating the playtimes of the past with lots of family friendly activities at their Media Mania funday on Bank Holiday Monday (30 August).
Linked to their popular summer exhibition ‘Media Circus’, Kids can have a go at hopscotch, an ‘eye spy’ trail, dressing up, play board games and read books as well playing in the ‘nuts and bolts’ area.
Boogie babies are in for a treat with the ‘baby disco’ where they can sing and dance to their hearts content from 12-1pm.
The Victorian school room will be brought to life with a Victorian style school teacher giving a taste of 19th century education.
With face painting, quizzes, art activities and live music courtesy of Tame Valley Brass Ensemble Media Mania promises to be a great day for the whole family.
It starts at 11am until 3pm and is completely free.
