More arrests following murder investigation - David Mark Pattison, 36

Two more men have been arrested after a man died in Manchester city centre.

At around 10pm on Saturday 24 July 2010, police were called after a man was admitted to the Manchester Royal Infirmary with head injuries.

He died on the morning of Sunday 25 July 2010. He has now been named as David Mark Pattison, 36, of Ashton-under-Lyne.

It is believed he had been assaulted on Chester Street on the junction of Cambridge Street.

A warrant for further detention for a 41-year-old woman and 34-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been granted and they remain in police custody for questioning.

Two more men, aged 32 and 38-years-old, have also now been arrested on suspicion of murder and are in police custody for questioning.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
