Man charged after teenager dies in traffic collision

A man has been charged after a teenager died in a traffic collision in Denton.

Scott Wilson, 19, of Spring Avenue, Hyde has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving with no insurance, driving other than in accordance with a driving licence and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

Police were called to Manchester Road, Denton just before 11.30am on Monday 1 February 2010 following reports a motorbike had collided with a car.

Christopher Mason, aged 18, was thrown from the motorbike and died from his injuries.

Wilson is due to appear before Tameside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 27 July 2010.
