Nine charged after day of action

Nine people have been charged after a day of action in Tameside.

On Thursday 17 June 2010, police across the division executed 17 warrants, arrested 33 people and recovered drugs including 9,000 counterfeit prescription tablets and 3,000 cigarettes.

Of the 33 arrests, nine people have been charged and the rest bailed for various offences.
Scott Harrison (born 24/05/1989) of Alderley Terrace, Dukinfield, is charged with breach of bail.

Stephen Jason Sherry (born 22/09/1983), of St Kildas Avenue, Droylsden, Tameside, is charged with section 47 assault and is due to appear before Tameside Magistrates' Court on 5 July 2010.

Noel Delahunt (born 08/11/1986) is charged with section 47 assault and is due before Tameside Magistrates' Court on 29 June 2010.

Tracey Hibbert (born 14/11/1974) of Yew Tree Lane, Dukinfield, is charged with possession of amphetamines with intent to supply and is due before Tameside Magistrates' Court on 29 June 2010.

Vera Kennedy (born 02/12/1948) of Yew Tree Lane, Dukinfield, is charged with possession of amphetamines with intent to supply and is due before Tameside Magistrates' Court on 29 June 2010.

Terrence Kennedy (born 28/10/ 1958) of Yew Tree Lane, Dukinfield, is charged with possession of amphetamines with intent to supply.

Gordon Hewitt (born 18/04/1975), of HMP Forest Bank, is charged with handling stolen goods.

Rebecca Scanlon (born 11/09/1991), of Crossley Crescent, Ashton-under-Lyne, is charged with theft and is due before Tameside Magistrates' Court on 29 July 2010.

A 17-year-old boy is charged with burglary and is due before Tameside Youth Court on 24 June 2010.
