Police are appealing for the public's help to trace a missing Hyde woman.

Brenda Rushworth, 35, was reported missing from her home on Rutland Street, Hyde, by her boyfriend at about 2pm on 19 May 2010.

She was last seen in the Village Store on Market Street in Hollingworth at about 6am the next day, where she withdrew some cash.

Brenda is described as white, about 5ft 4in tall, of medium build and with short dark greying brown hair. She was last seen wearing black leggings, red Adidas trainers and a dark blue fleece top with a red top underneath.

She is also believed to have lots of cuts on her wrists from her pet.

Police are now appealing to anyone who recognises Brenda or who knows of her whereabouts to come forward.

Inspector Peter Johnson said: "Brenda has been missing for a few days now and this is totally out of character for her.

"I would appeal to anyone who has information or who might know where Brenda is to call us.

"I would also like to appeal directly to Brenda if she is reading or hearing this. Please, your three children are very worried about you and just want their mum to come home safely. Please get in touch and we will reunite you with your family."

Anyone with information is asked to call Greater Manchester Police on 0161 872 5050.
