Security guard was threatened with a shotgun

A man threatened a security guard with a shotgun at a bank in Ashton-under-Lyne.
The robbery took place at about 11.15am on Friday 19 February 2010, at the Royal Bank of Scotland on Stamford Street.
As a delivery was being made, two men, one armed with a crowbar and the other with a shotgun, threatened told the guard they would shoot him if he did not hand over cash.
The pair made off with cash and got into a silver Saab estate parked nearby. The car was found abandoned a short time later on Church Street.
The offenders were both in dark clothing. The man carrying the shotgun was wearing a balaclava, is of skinny build and 5ft 8in tall.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
Detective Constable Martin Gregory said: "Stamford Street was busy at the time and I am confident that there are more witnesses we can speak to.
"We know where the car went afterwards, but would like anyone who thinks they can help get in touch.
"We would like to reassure the public that Greater Manchester Police has significant experience in bringing offenders like this to justice, and we will continue our thorougjh inquiries."
