Police are appealing for information about a car used in a pub burglary in Glossop.

At about 6am on Saturday, February 13, a burglar broke into the Surrey Arms Inn, in Victoria Street, stealing cash from the till before he was disturbed by the landlord, who then called the police.

Officers arrived at the scene within minutes and saw the burglar get into a black 2008 registered Ford Focus. In a bid to stop the man driving off, officers struck the car windscreen and driver's window, causing them to break.

The burglar is described as white, around 6ft tall and in his late 20’s. He is stocky and wore dark clothing, a dark coat and a beanie hat.
