Warning of Heavy Snow for Greater Manchester

Weather Summary
A band of sleet and snow will spread northeastwards this afternoon, affecting parts of northern and western England. Accumulations of 2 to 5cm of snow are expected widely, with local accumulations of 5 to 8cm possible over higher ground.

The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the latest Environment Agency, Floodline, and Flood Warnings in force and refer to the "Highways Agency" for further advice regarding traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.
