Father of missing chef brings his campaign to Stalybridge
Date published: 15 December 2009
The father of missing York chef Claudia Lawrence has taken his campaign to find his daughter across the Pennines.
Peter Lawrence travelled by train to Stalybridge and then on to Huddersfield to raise awareness about Claudia, who has been missing for nine months.
Train operator First TransPennine Express is supporting Mr Lawrence and will be displaying posters of the missing University of York chef at their stations.
Claudia, 35, was last seen on 18 March. Police are treating her disappearance as suspected murder.
Martin Dale, Peter Lawrence’s friend and spokesman, said: “We are very grateful for the support given by First TransPennine Express. It is really helpful to be able to get the Claudia missing message to as wide an audience as possible as someone somewhere knows something about her disappearance.”
