Missing Tameside woman - found safe and well
Date published: 31/10/2009
Concern is growing for a 52-year-old woman missing from her ward at Tameside General Hospital.
Hazel Bell, a vulnerable patient originally from Stalybridge, was last seen at the hospital at about 1.00pm on Thursday 29 October 2009.
She is described as white, about 5ft tall, with red hair. She was last seen wearing thick-rimmed glasses.
While Hazel has access to money and is familiar with the local area, police and her family are concerned for her welfare as she suffers from depression.
Detective Sergeant Claire Brennan said: "It is out of character for Hazel to disappear like this. Her family are desperate to know she is ok.
"If anyone has seen Hazel, we urge them to get in touch.
"We would also ask Hazel to call the police or her family as soon as possible."
Anyone with any information on Hazel's whereabouts should call police on 0161 856 9240, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
