Tudor black and white timber church dated circa 1531 - with a possible origin in 1473 from Denton Hall or Hyde Hall. One of only 29 surviving timber framed churches and chapels in England. Burial place of Colonel Duckenfield - 'Roundhead' military leader, and John Angiers, a notable Puritan preacher who died in 1667. Features original beams with pegs and stained glass windows. Awarded two Blue Plaques, one dedicated to John Angiers.
