Tameside Council are pleased to announce details of their 2010 Annual Music Festival featuring yet another superb range of concerts. The series, aimed at opening up world-class music to a whole new local audience, will give Tameside citizens a taste of musical excellence, all at very affordable prices – demonstrating that top quality music doesn’t have to be elitist.
We are delighted to welcome back ‘Shirley & Friends’ who will once again be performing in a lighter vein at Christ Church, Denton on Saturday 27th March. Next, making their debut performance at Hyde Town Hall on Saturday 24th April, are the world renowned Brighouse & Rastrick Band who are universally regarded as one of the premier brass bands on both the contest and concert platforms.
World famous Black Dyke Band make a welcome return to Dukinfield Town Hall on Sunday 9th May with their virtuoso performance of some great brass band classics and to conclude the festival, the incomparable Hallé Choir will perform at The Albion Church in Ashton-under-Lyne on Sunday 16th May.
