Events in Tameside - Music

We are a 4th section band located approximately 15 minutes southeast of Manchester city centre, in the town of Denton. We are a non-profit making organisation, providing music to the community. In 2009 the band celebrated its 150th anniversary, having been originally founded in 1859.

We are a young, eager and friendly band. Players of all levels are always welcome. The senior band rehearses in the Festival Hall, Denton every Monday and Thursday night between 7:30 and 9:30 PM. The training band rehearse on Tuesday nights in the Festival Hall between 7:00 and 8:30 PM.

The band are members of North West Area Brass Band Association, North West Counties Brass Band Association and the British Federation of Brass Bands

Belle Vue Brass welcomes players of all standards and walks of life into a friendly and safe environement. The band's social activities are key to the continued success of the band and are all family orientated in order to accomodate all members and friends of the band.

The International Festival of Arts and Music is welcomed by Mossley this October.

One of the Artists to feature at the event is Gordon Clegg who is anticipating at least 20 artists and musicians will be entering from Germany and France as well as 40 artist and musicians from local areas participating.

Hem in France is Mossley’s twin town and artist and musicians are expected to come from there as well as Hem’s twin town in Germany named Wiehl will all be expected to flock Mossley for a four day period from 8th to 11th of October.

Tameside Council will once again be showcasing the best of brass, at this year’s British Open Solo & Quartet Championships.
